The bulk of the lantern slides primarily depict students from the New Bedford Textile School operating textile machinery and tools, engaged in classes on topics such as advanced designing, electrical laboratory, motor testing, hand warping, loom, mechanical drawing, and machine shop to name a few. "UMass Dartmouth 1960-2006: Trials and Triumph" photographs

Scope and Contents The collection consists of 345 high resolution digital image files created by Reynolds DeWalt printers and book designer Deb Smook. TIFF image files are stored on an Apollo Imation portable hard drive; they are also available on the original storage media, 8 CDs that were provided by Reynolds. It is a nearly complete set of images used in the book. A selection of 197 images from the original 345 were converted to JPEG files and cataloged in the Digital Archive Collection.
