Portuguese American vertical file collection
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of printed materials, commemorative publications, newspaper clippings, ephemera, photographs, artifacts and other materials collected on many aspects of the Portuguese immigration and immigrant communities in the United States. The focus of the collection, however, is on the Portuguese American communities in southeastern Massachusetts, especially in Fall River and New Bedford. Collection is arranged alphabetically by subject and continually supplemented.

Many items collected by Frances Sylvia Gracia and donated to the Portuguese American Archives. Other items collected by the Portuguese American Historical Federation of Fall River. Various other donors as well, including Mary Carvalho and Fernandes E. and Maria F. Lopes.
