The Council was created in 1993 to foster the sharing of information on academic governance and other matters among the faculties of the five University campuses, to sreve as liaison between the faculty governance bodies of the five campuses and the President and Board of Trustees, and to make recommendations concerning academic governance and other matters to the faculty governance bodies.
