Biographical / Historical
John Russell Brazil served as President of Southeastern Massachusetts University from 1984-1991 and as Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 1991-1992 when SMU joined the 5 campus state system. His term of service began on September 1, 1984, but his official inauguration did not take place until May 4,1985.
