Evan Platt conducted these interviews as a UMass Dartmouth undergraduate student under the supervision of sociology professor M. Gloria de Sa, for course credit. Professor de Sa serves as faculty director of the Ferreira-Mendes Portuguese-American Archives and an advisor to the Schooner Ernestina-Morrisey Archives.
