Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Includes research subject files, photographs, videotapes, notebooks and audiotapes donated by private citizens and journalists who investigated the case. Donors include members of The Kennedy Assassination Truth Committee (the Floyd B. Nelson and Lillian Castellano collection), Robert Blair Kaiser, author of R.F.K. must die!, Philip Melanson, Dan Moldea, and Greg Stone. Their research files were combined to form the “Personal Name Subject files” and “Subject files” (Boxes 125-136); other materials from their files and articles written by them are found in the “General files” (boxes 105-107) arranged alphabetically by private investigator’s name. Their collected magazine and newsclippings were also combined to form one chronological grouping (Boxes 133-146). All of the audiotapes are in boxes 127-132. These files are considered an open series and may be added to periodically.

Materials Specific Details

L. 85--Baxter Ward asked Cesar to appear on the news. L. 85--Ted Charach wanted him to sign a release which Cesar did. Charach claimed he was a freelance writer. L. 140--Cesar had lawyer named Don Weber. L. 153--Charach quizzed Cesar for 1/2 hour and Cesar thought he was making small talk when he asked him about his politcal views. L. 191--Cesar was carrying a 38 caliber gun. L. 209--He was willing to take the polygraph test! Everything Cesar said was bent out of proportion by Charach. L. 290--Tom wanted Cesar to work at the Ambassador Hotel. 7 guards were on duty working for Ace Security. Cesar said that Ace had 200 to 300 security guards working for them, therefore he was not familiar with the guards working at the hotel the night of the assassination. Cesar claimed he owned a 22 pistol but sold it about February, 1968 to Jim Yoder.
