Custodial History
Painted by Samuel Holt, who was head of the Designing and Weaving Department at the New Bedford Textile School from 1900-1938. He was the grandfather of Spinwinder sculptor Nancy Holt. At some point it was owned by Nancy Holt, and transferred to the Holt/Smithson Foundation through her estate.
