Scope and Contents The collection includes lantern slides, glass plate negatives, transparencies and photoprints. The bulk of the lantern slides primarily depict students from the New Bedford Textile School operating textile machinery and tools, engaged in classes on topics such as advanced designing, electrical laboratory, motor testing, hand warping, loom, mechanical drawing, and machine shop to name a few.
